The relationship between Shelby and Ty is rocky to say the least. He is a bronc rider and that scares her to no end, only she has never told him that or why. Ty is afraid to stop rodeo because he is afraid of becoming his dad, who gave up a promising career to run the family farm and became a bitter man.

After her grandfather is in a bad accident and they end up rushing to the hospital, it dawns on Ty that it's not so much the rodeo that scares Shelby, but the possibility of losing someone to death. She lost her mother at age 10 and then lost her grandmother to a freak infection.

They finally sit down and really talk and discuss both their fears and meeting them.

Another great Marietta story! Definitely recommend reading it.

Catch Me, Cowboy is book 1 of The 78th Copper Mountain Rodeo Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

This was a very fast paced story that you'll find hard to put down. I loved all of the characters in this story. Shelby and Ty had a long history of ups and downs, and then Ty left her behind to persue his dream career. But was it really his own dream he tried to fullfill, or was he doing it just to appease someone else? Will Ty finally figure it all out in the end, and if he does....will Shelby still be there waiting for his return? Or will she have moved on with her life with someone else?

I loved this book! I loved watching the way these two both grew and matured over the years.

I really enjoyed this story. Shelby and Ty had a past together that ended with very hard feelings when he chose the rodeo over staying in town with Shelby. She was very determined to fight their chemistry and hold the grudge. Shelby's grandfather added some drama with him hiding his medical issues from Shelby as well.
I really liked how Shelby came to terms with her fears. It certainly wasn't a fast process, so it was quite realistic. I really like how true love can overcome so many obstacles.

Good but predictable story of a young cowboy leaving to follow his rodeo dreams and the girl he left behind. After 4 years of silence, Ty Harding has returned to his hometown. He was badly smashed up by a bronc and has announced that he has retired from rodeo. But has he? That is the question that his former lover Shelby O'Connor is asking as he tries to insert himself into her life once more. Although this is a story of second chances, I didn't really feel there was any doubt about the outcome. I also didn't feel all that invested in any of the characters. It's an okay read but it didn't really grab me.
