Love watching Dr. Drew interact with his patients...

It was interesting for me to see how Dr. Drew interacted with each patient, and discovered the turning point in each of their lives that might help explain their addictive behavior. Some of the patients in this series were especially difficult, more so than even those in "Celebrity Rehab" and his patience with them was commendable. Most Doctors these days don't seem to have real compassion. It came across strongly that Dr. Drew really cares about the outcomes for these patients and is truly invested in them. I especially liked learning about the challenges faced by people with addictions and how important healthy family relationships are especially in childhood. So, for me this series was more than just entertainment, it was educational, in a people sort of way.

Dr. Drew

I feel bad for Dr. Drew as he had to put up with all that Celebrity garbage on the other addiction show. He's really really good at this. He goes DEEP. Just amazing work. Does anyone know his education background? I bet most of what he does is from his natural abilities as are those of his support staff. Clearly, this process of becoming reborn is painful and beyond impossible but Dr. Drew and his staff continue to fight the fight.

I really want to give it 5 stars... but the constant recaps are seriously annoying when you have no commercials. I hope there comes a day when they re-edit these shows for DVD and online release. the recap and pre-cap are a serious downer when you want to marathon through a season.
