I absolutely love this little instrument! I have been wanting one for a while. I finally decided to treat myself and am so happy I did! I read the instruction manual that came with it and played around with it for about 20 minutes before I learned one of the first songs that they recommend- twinkle twinkle little star. Super easy to use

I saw the thumb piano at a friend gathering party and this thing is really cool. I decided to have a try and this one is definitely better than the one I saw before. It came with quality wood and several small tools like hammer and color stickers. I've seen some videos about Kalimba on YouTube and just wanted to try it out. This is a beautifully crafted instrument made of wood. It's very light, and convenient to take with you, fitting easily into any carrying bag. It has a delightful tone reminiscent of a giant music box. The keys are easy to read and though it came tuned out of

I bought this for my nine-year old niece who, after playing around with my Hugh Tracey kalimbas expressed an interest. As with other reviewers I was quite pleasantly surprised. I'm a little confusing while writing this review. Say I bought 6 kalimbas from Gecko, but had to return 3 of them because of rust problem. Some in their stock would be rusty (on the keys) and you have to check the item carefully once you received. I have had to do the return more than once, and certainly I was not happy of wasting time

It is my first experience in playing a keyboard (piano for that matter). This keyboard has a lot of great features for learning. It is compact and doesn't take up too much space in my small apartment. I can wear headphones while I play so I can play late into the night without disturbing my neighbors. I am really happy with this instrument, and surprised at the quality of the sound and the price. I've always liked Yamaha products, motorcycles, tuner/amplifiers, guitars, and now keyboards. I have played piano for 18 years now and recently moved into my own place. I desperately missed having a piano to play on a daily basis, but I do not have the space for a real piano. Probably the best purchase that I have ever made on Amazon. Perfect for students. Affordable. If compared to Yamaha P-45, there should not be any huge differences; besides “P-71” makes it some how more special since it’s made for Amazon. Weighted keys are super legit that make me feel so good when playing. The sound is soft

The sustain pedal does not work. It does the opposite of what it supposed to do. When you don't press it the sound is sustained, but then when you press it the sound got cut off. Also, cannot register the product. Yamaha doesn't seem to have an option of P-71.UPDATE ON SUSTAIN PEDAL.I found that a number of people have this same problem.

Very good case for the Akai MPK Mini. It is not super rigid so I would not recommend putting this in airplane luggage on it's own. But due to it's form factor it fits really nicely into a bigger suitcase. The padding is quite nice and the case seems to be very well put together. The competition is the Yamaha PSR-E463, and that's a fine keyboard, too, but it's somewhat older and getting a little dated now. The Casio, with the AiX chipset, sounds better to my ears, and the keyboard is jam-packed with sounds, rhythyms, accompaniments, etc. You can play this for years before you'll feel the need to upgrade, and

A lot of piano for the money! This is full size keyboard with "weighted" keys. What that means is that it has the same feel as a piano rather than the soft feel of cheap electronic keyboards. It also registers how hard you strike the key and plays softer/louder accordingly. This is important if you want to the feel of playing a "real"
