The Montana Cowboy's Heart by Kaylie Newell (The Cole Brothers Book 3) Porter Cole excels at two things—running his Marietta-based dude ranch with his twin brother, Brooks, and charming women. But when the beautiful and stoic Justine Banks arrives at the ranch with a bus full of children for a field trip, everything he thought he knew about himself flies out the window. Justine has no time for romance, especially not with a sexy cowboy who has the greenest eyes she’s ever seen. But Porter has a way of making her feel alive, especially after taking in her friend’s struggling eleven-year-old grandson. When the boy takes off trying to find his long-lost rodeo cowboy father, Porter offers to help and Justine finds herself confronted with her own childhood pain. Can she trust Porter? All roads seem to lead back to the ranch. In Porter, Justine and young Tom see a man who holds the key to healing their hearts, and for the first time ever, Porter sees a chance for a family. Will they all be brave enough to forgive their own pasts and imagine a future together? This is Justine Banks and Porter Cole's story. His teacher looked up at Porter again. “I’m Justine, by the way. Justine Banks.” Porter shook her hand. Her skin was powdery soft, and surprisingly warm in the crisp morning air. But her grip was firm, no-nonsense. “Porter Cole,” he said. “Nice to meet you.” Porter Cole leaned against the paddock fence and looked out over the group of sixth graders with his Stetson pulled low over his eyes. He was only half listening to his twin brother go on and on about dude ranch technicalities— how many guests they were expecting this fall, how they weather-proofed the barn, blah, blah, blah. Brooks had a tendency to ramble, especially when he was talking to kids. It was like he had this boredom radar. Whenever he sensed that anyone younger than fifteen could be halfway interested, he had to age at least thirty years and start talking about the most mind-numbing things. The Montana Cowboy's Heart by Kaylie Newell is a 5 star book. I am looking forward to reading more books by Kaylie Newell. I received a complimentary copy of the book and was under no obligation to post a review.

The Montana Cowboy’s Heart by Kaylie Newell, book three in the Cole Brothers series, is a heart- warming, sweet, and emotional story featuring a couple brought together because of an 11-year boy, who will steal your heart. Porter and Justine were not looking for a forever relationship; yet, neither wanted something temporary either. Porter and Justine are quite alike, having similar baggage and are both guarded and wary, yet they are the kindest people. This is evidenced in the loving and protective relationship with the preteen, Cat who is staying with Justine temporarily, who is looking for his long lost father. Cat is as important to the plot as Porter and Justine, their interactions shedding light onto each other’s personalities. It’s endearing to watch how the connection between Porter and Cat grows; especially with their shared love of animals. One thing this story reminds readers is that life is short; it might throw you curve ball, but enjoy your life to the fullest.
Ms. Newell wrote a sweet, heartwarming, and emotional romance filled with strong magnetism, chemistry, clever banter, and charming characters giving Porter and Justine a chance to open their hearts to love and create a family that included Cat. I highly recommend The Montana Cowboy’s Heart to other readers
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I received this arc of The Montana Cowboy’s Heart by Kaylie Newell from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This is the third and final book in the Cole Brothers series. This book is Porter Cole’s story. He helps run the dude ranch he owns with his twin brother outside of Marietta Montana. He meets Justine Banks when she arrives at the ranch as a chaperone for a school field trip to the ranch. Justine meets Porter and he learns she is a middle school teacher and acting as a temporary guardian for her friend’s grandson, Cat. Cat is being teased by a bully about his status. His mother passed away and his dad left for the rodeo never to return. He’s being raised by his grandmother in the city and she is undergoing chemo treatments. So Justine brought him to stay with her in Marietta.
Porter and Justine both have their own baggage with being abandoned by a parent when they were children. This has caused trust issues up to the present day for them both. Justine has been working on developing a relationship with her dad now that her mom has died. He had left his wife and daughters and they were bitter about it for a long time. Porter has worked on a relationship with his dad but hasn’t had any contact with his mom since she left when he was young. Porter hasn’t been interested in any serious relationships but he finds chemistry with Justine. Unfortunately, she is planning to go abroad to teach in the UK for the next school year. Both are hesitant for several reasons to get involved.
Porter and Cat hit it off and Cat is very interested in ranching and being in a rodeo. He starts spending alot of time at the ranch and he and Porter share their feelings about their absentee parent. Cat wants to find his dad and Porter starts thinking about seeing his mom and confronting her about why she left and hasn’t tried to see how they are doing.
I enjoyed this book very much. I liked seeing the relationship between Porter and Justine as well as between him and Cat grow. This was well written and I was glad to see Porter’s brothers and dad make appearances in this book as well I gave it 5 stars and look forward to reading more books by Kaylie in the future.

Porter runs the dude ranch with his brothers. He is also considered a player when it comes to the ladies. Justine is a teacher who has temporary custody of an eleven year old boy who is struggling after his mother's death and his grandmother falling ill. They meet when Justine's class takes a field trip to the dude ranch. When Porter hears kids bullying Cat about his family life he steps in and a friendship is born. Porter is a rodeo cowboy just like Cat's dad is supposedly. Justine and Porter both have abandonment issues from their own childhoods. Porter knows where Cat's dad is likely to be next. Can they work together to put their own abandonment issues to rest and help a tween face his dad no matter the outcome? Good read.

Third and final in Kaylie Newell’s Cole Brothers series, The Montana Cowboy’s Heart is sweet, deeply emotional at times and an all round lovely cowboy romance. Both Porter Cole and Justine Banks have abandonment issues that make them wary of entering into a relationship despite the obvious attraction between them. Add a sad eleven year-old to the mix and you have a recipe for healing and a pathway to love. I loved the setting for this story, the Diamond In The Rough Ranch and the nearby town of Marietta, Montana. Although Marietta is fictional, many Tule Publishing books are set there and that sense of familiarity with the town and its people always make me feel at home. I also love the family values and the idea of teaching responsibility at a young age that seems to go hand in hand with ranch-based stories. In this book there is also that sense that all the key protagonists are looking out for each other. Watching love blossom between Porter and Justine at the same time as Cat, the boy they are caring for comes out of his shell was a real pleasure. All in all, this story left me feeling good about my fellow human beings.

Justine and Porter were amazing characters. I love that the author took her time and wrote a slow-burn romance between them. Both these characters imagined different things for their futures; neither looking for a relationship. Justine would soon be leaving town for good; taking a teaching position in Europe. She doesn't have the luxury to start something romantic with Porter when she'd be leaving. Not to mention, due to his past, Porter plans to never marry. So both Porter and Justine decide it's best to remain only friends even though the chemistry and attraction between them is nearly impossible to ignore.
Of course this book has a great ending but I don't want to spoil the journey to that happily-ever-after for you. The Montana Cowboy's heart is an emotional story. There is more going on than simple, sweet romance. I haven't yet read the previous book in The Cole Brother's series but I did read and enjoy book one. The Cole siblings did not have the best of times growing up. As a result of their past, I was all the more satisfied to see how the author gave them the future to look forward to and one they truly deserve. This is a wonderful series and I recommend it. I am definitely looking forward to reading book two.
While I received an advanced reading copy of this book, my review is honest and unbiased. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

This book had 3 people’s lives involved, all dealing with the same thing.....a family member leaving. Porter, Justine & Cat are a great combination, they’re all strong characters with a flaw. As we watch Porter & Justine rally around Cat they grow closer & both fall in love but fear holds them back until an incident with Cat’s father & an accident push them in the right direction. Enjoyed this & recommend it & the series. Thank you to Tule publishing for letting me read this book for an honest review.
